(FreedomWire.org) – A gathering of roughly 100 demonstrators appeared outside the homes of Supreme Court justices Brett Kavanaugh and John Roberts. These demonstrators are taking to the streets after a draft of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade was leaked.

Douglas Blair, who works as a news editor for The Daily Signal, described what he witnessed outside Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh’s home.

Blair called the protests an “attempt at intimidation” and said that Joe Biden and the Democrats have failed to condemn the demonstrations.

“This is an attempt at intimidation,” Blair said. “And I think it really says a lot, too, that the Biden administration is willing to absolutely let these justices out to dry.”

“They’re not going to say, ‘It’s not acceptable for you to go to somebody’s house and yell and scream.’ That’s not how we do it in this country,” he continued.

“I did not see Justice Kavanaugh. My hope is that he wasn’t home,” Blair said.

“My hope is that he was safe with his family somewhere else because it was genuinely one of the scariest things I’ve ever witnessed.”

Senator Ted Cruz revealed that some Republicans believe the person who leaked the draft Supreme Court decision is “one of those twelve law clerks” who work directly for the justices.

Cruz continued, “Well, that was the intent of this clerk, we’ve got left-wing groups now that have published the addresses of justices.”

“The intent of this clerk was to bully and threaten and intimidate the justices to changing their votes and I’ve got to say this week, it was shameful that the White House refused to condemn violent protesters threatening the families of the Supreme Court,” he said.

Whoever leaked the draft of the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade was committed a crime and could be charged with obstruction of justice, according to former Attorney General Bill Barr.

Chief Justice JohnRoberts has reportedly ordered the marshal of the court to begin an investigation into the leak. The goal of the investigation is to discover who leaked Justice Samuel Alito’s ruling striking down the landmark 1973 decision.

“It really is unprecedented,” former Attorney General Barr explained, adding that the person could face charges of obstructing the administration of justice and “the due process of justice. Obstruction means you’re attempting to influence through some kind of wrongdoing. I don’t think it’s a stretch,” he said.

Cruz added, “This is the culmination of a multiyear campaign from Senate Democrats to politicize and destroy the court, and it’s had many aspects.”

“It is disgraceful, and Joe Biden used to be chairman of the Judiciary Committee,” Cruz said. “Joe Biden knows it’s disgraceful, he’s literally threatening the lives of these justices by the mob they’re unleashing, it’s the same thing we saw with Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots where the left embraced them, and now they’re embracing mob violence to get their partisan outcome.”

Bill Barr explained, “The chief would’ve had the option, perhaps he still will, to appoint a counsel. A special counsel. Not in the classical criminal sense, but the court can appoint a counsel and bring in a former US attorney or someone with a law background. I’m sure he would get the support he needed from the FBI or any other law enforcement agency.”

“Our institutions have become increasingly politicized, but I never imagined this could happen to the Supreme Court, which has always protected its confidentiality, and for someone to let this out in order to influence the final decision is really beyond the pale,” Barr added.

In response to the leak and subsequent protests, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said, “We can’t be an institution that can be bullied into give you the outcomes you want. The events from earlier this week are a symptom of that.”

Senator Cruz argues that the Left has been inciting violence with their rhetoric. “It featured Chuck Schumer standing on steps of the court calling out justices by name, threatening to unleash the whirlwind, that they won’t know what hit them if they don’t vote the way Schumer wants, that’s incredibly destructive to the court,” he said.

“It features Senate Democrats threatening to pack the supreme court, to add four left-wing justices immediately and grow it to thirteen justices,” Cruz said, “and I think what happened here is you had some left-wing, woke twit who decided that he or she was so upset, that they were going to violate the trust they owe to their justice, to the court, to the rule of law, and, Maria, it is difficult to overstate just how destructive this is to the court.”

(FreedomWire.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke at the opening session of the elite 2022 Aspen Ideas Climate Conference in Miami. While on stage, Pelosi referred to the Republican Party as a ‘”cult.”

“You don’t want me to get too political here, do you?” Pelosi asked the audience.

“I mean, the fossil fuel industry, they weigh in so significantly,” she continued. “I mean, how could it be that nobody in the Senate cares about climate?”

Pelosi continued, “So rather than saying, ‘Well, we have to defeat them,’ no, let’s just try to persuade them. I want the Republican party to take back the party, take it back to where you were when you cared about a woman’s right to choose, you cared about the environment.”

“Hey, here I am, Nancy Pelosi, saying this country needs a strong Republican party, and we do, not a cult, but a strong Republican party.”

Pelosi has branded the GOP a cult before in the past. In 2020 she said Republicans had been “highjacked” by a “cult-like group of people and others who are afraid of defying the cult leader,” referring to President Donald Trump.

(FreedomWire.org) – While appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime last Friday, Border Patrol union chief Brandon Judd stated the Biden administration isn’t punishing illegal border crossings.

Judd said,  “First thing I would do is, I would re-implement the Migrant Protection Protocols, but even if he chose not to do that, he could operate within his parameters. Stop the catch-and-release, hold people in our custody here in the United States pending their deportation or asylum proceedings. If he did that, people would stop coming. Again, it’s like a light switch. They will not give the cartels thousands of dollars to be smuggled to the United States if they know they’re going to go back. The only people that are benefiting from this are illegal border-crossers, the drug smugglers and the cartels. They’re generating billions of dollars … it is policy that is allowing these people to generate the billions of dollars.”

DHS officials, including Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, have been grilled by Republican lawmakers as the leadership within DHS continues to deny responsibility for the historic increase in illegal border crossings and drugs being smuggled into the United States.

“By the way What would you call what’s happening at the border? Is it a crisis?” Hawley asked.

“I believe we’re facing significant challenges at the border, sir,” Neto replied.

“Challenges. Is it a problem?” Hawley followed up.

“I think there are parts of the border where we have seen particularly problematic flows,” said Neto.

(FreedomWire.org) – After the leak of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s majority abortion opinion, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan blasted the “radical nature” of the Democratic Party’s reaction to the leak of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in a landmark case that could overturn Roe V. Wade.

“I think one of the key things we have to do as Republicans, as conservatives, people who are pro-life and support the decision is, we have to point out the radical nature on this debate is the Left. It’s Chuck Schumer and all these Democrats who think you should be able to take the life of an unborn child all the way up until right when they’re about ready to be born,” Jordan told Jimmy Failla in an interview with Fox Across America.

“That is their position. And they always say, ‘these radical conservative Republicans in the Supreme Court’. It’s the Democrats who have the radical position. It was Ralph Northam who said the crazy things he said as governor of Virginia about unborn children and children just born, what they were contemplating doing to kids, to human beings. That’s what we’ve got to be willing to point out when we debate folks, if this plays out over the next several months,” he added.

Politico first obtained a draft of conservative Justice Samuel Alito’s majority decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a controversial Mississippi case which could effectively overturn Roe v. Wade and almost 50 years of legal precedent guaranteeing a woman’s right to an abortion.

According to the document, Justices Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and possibly Chief Justice John Roberts support Justice Alito’s decision.

Should the court vote to overturn the current precedents, abortions would be left for the states to decide.

“We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled,” Justice Alito wrote in the opinion. “It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”

Alito also noted that 30 states had active bans on abortion throughout pregnancy at the time Roe was decided and Americans still hold “sharply conflicting views” on the subject.

“Some believe fervently that a human person comes into being at conception and that abortion ends an innocent life. Others feel just as strongly that any regulation of abortion invades a woman’s right to control her own body and prevents women from achieving full equality. Still others in a third group think that abortion should be allowed under some but not all circumstances, and those within this group hold a variety of views about the particular restrictions that should be imposed,” Alito wrote.

Shortly after the opinion was leaked, thousands of protestors took to the streets in cities across the country to protest what they perceive as the end of Roe.

Hundreds of protestors from both sides of the abortion debate gathered in front of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., in the days Politico published Justice Samuel Alito’s opinion draft.

According to reporter Alejandro Alvarez, the pro-choice crowd in Washington far outnumbered the pro-life crowd.

(FreedomWire) – Biden’s new “Disinformation” Czar, Nina Jankowicz lives in Loudoun County, VA. Loudoun County,  has been dubbed ground zero for school board activism and parental pushback over the school policies like CRT, gender ideology, school closures and COVID-19 vaccines.

Jankowicz said the GOP is made up of “disinformers” who “have seized on” issues like CRT to spread “disinformation” at a speaking event at The City Club of Cleveland in October 2021 titled “Disinformation and Democracy: Civic Discourse in the Digital Age.”

“I live in Virginia and in Loudoun County, that’s one of the areas where people have really honed in on this topic,” Jankowicz added at the event. “But it’s no different than any of the other hot-button issues that have allowed disinformation to flourish. It’s weaponizing people’s emotion.”

“Critical Race Theory has become one of those hot-button issues that the Republicans and other disinformers, who are engaged in disinformation for profit, frankly … have seized on,” Jankowicz said.

This is the person Biden wants to control ‘disinformation.’

Republicans and other ‘disinformers’.

She is calling parents disinformers. Parents in Loudoun County and around the country are fighting the against CRT. Parents have the right to say what they don’t want their children taught in school.

(FreedomWire.org) – Some of the top Republicans in the House think they’ve found a way to strike at Biden’s disastrous border policies in an effective way: they’re going to impeach Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security, for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”

In fact, they’ve already written a resolution, H. RES. 582, to get the process for that going and start the impeachment ball. The resolution, describing in some of its early text why Mayorkas needs to impeached, accuses him of not doing his duty to defend and control the border, saying:

Alejandro Nicholas Mayorkas, in his conduct while Secretary of Homeland Security, engaged in a pattern of conduct that is incompatible with his duties as an Officer of the United States, as follows:

Secretary Mayorkas took an oath to defend and secure our country and uphold the Constitution when he was sworn in as Secretary of Homeland Security on February 2, 2021. Article II of the U.S. Constitution tasks the Executive branch—which today includes the Secretary of Homeland Security—with ensuring the laws passed by Congress and signed into law by the President are faithfully executed.

Secretary Mayorkas has failed to faithfully uphold his oath and has instead presided over a reckless abandonment of border security and immigration enforcement, at the expense of the Constitution and the security of the United States. Secretary Mayorkas has violated, and continues to violate, this requirement by failing to maintain operational control of the border and releasing hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens into the interior of the United States.

Secretary Mayorkas has willfully refused to maintain operational control of the border as required by the Secure Fence Act of 2006. His actions have directly led to an increase in illegal aliens and illegal narcotics, including deadly fentanyl, entering the United States.

That’s putting it quite bluntly: the team who wrote it isn’t dancing around the subject but rather means business and is openly accusing him of dereliction of duty.

Axios, reporting on how strong of a measure the resolution is, notes that “Only one Cabinet official has ever been impeached, according to the House historian.” That was a corruption-related dispute that took place during the Gilded Age.

And though the letter, written by Rep. Biggs, puts things so bluntly and leaves little room for compromise, 38 Republicans have co-sponsored it, ready to do what they see as their duty and stop Mayorkas from leaving the border open to illegal immigrant invasion.

McCarthy, however, left some room for compromise when speaking at the border in a press conference, saying “if someone is derelict in their job, there is always the option of impeaching somebody. But right now, he’s got 30 days.”

And while the resolution currently only has 38 co-sponsors, it could rally a good bit of GOP support: a letter recently sent to Mayorkas garnered 133 GOP signatures and it essentially made the same dereliction of duty claim, saying:

As you’ll notice, the reps make a similar argument that Mayorkas has so far disregarded the law in leaving the border open to invasion.

So, if he doesn’t change course and respond satisfactorily in the timeline given him by McCarthy, perhaps the resolution will pick up steam and Mayorkas will be impeached.

(FreedomWire.org) – A key consumer price metric used by the government to measure inflation soared 8.5% over the last 12 months — the fastest pace of inflation since December 1981 — the Department of Labor (DOL) announced Tuesday.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased 1.2% between February and March, the fastest month-over-month figure since 2005, according to the Labor Department report released Tuesday morning. Economists surveyed by the Dow Jones projected that CPI would increase 1.1% last month and 8.4% over the 12-month period ending in March, CNBC reported.

“We’re seeing strong inflation momentum across the board, both for goods and services,” Blerina Uruci, a U.S. economist at T. Rowe Price Group, told The Wall Street Journal.

The White House warned Monday that the CPI figures would be “extraordinarily elevated” ahead of the report, but blamed Russian President Vladimir Putin. Gasoline prices hit record highs in March after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine which disrupted global energy markets dominated by Russian supplies.

“Because of the actions we’ve taken to address Putin — the Putin price hike, we are in a better place than we were last month,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at a press briefing. “But we expect March CPI headline inflation to be extraordinarily elevated due to Putin’s price hike.”

“We expect a large difference between core and headline inflation, reflecting the global disruptions in energy and food markets,” she added.

But core CPI, which measures prices of all goods excluding the historically-volatile energy and food categories, still rose 6.5% between April 2021 and March, the DOL said. While lower than the headline figure, the core inflation number reported Tuesday still represented its largest jump since August 1982.

Inflation has surged over the past several months: CPI surpassed the Federal Reserve’s 2% benchmark in May 2021 and has since precipitously climbed higher, according to federal data. Inflation increased a whopping 7.5% and 7.9% in January and February respectively, before Putin ever ordered troops to assault Ukraine.

Prices for new and used vehicles, rent, medical care, commodities and transportation costs like airline fares have all skyrocketed over the past year, the Tuesday report showed.

“As expected, inflation soared in March,” Joel Naroff, the chief economist of the Pennsylvania-based economic consulting firm Naroff Economics, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “But it wasn’t just energy, which continued to spike as a consequence of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Food, clothing, medical care and transportation were all up sharply as well.”

While recent jobs reports have shown strong growth, Americans are more concerned about inflation when it comes to the economy, according to a CBS News poll released Monday. Just 31% of those surveyed said they approved of President Joe Biden’s handling of inflation.

Small business owners listed inflation as the biggest issue facing them, a survey released Tuesday by the National Federation of Independent Business showed.

Critics, meanwhile, have accused the Federal Reserve of failing to properly act as prices have shot up across sectors over the last 12 months. Fed officials have turned their focus too much toward social justice issues instead of monetary policy, a recent Independent Institute report concluded.

“This is a direct result of Biden’s Federal Reserve being too preoccupied with ‘diversity,’ ‘equity,’ and ‘climate change’ while ignoring all the warning signs on inflation for more than a year,” E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis, told the DCNF. “The Fed is laughably behind the curve and people are demonstrably poorer because of it.”

Prior to the report Tuesday, Antoni predicted the 12-month figure to reach 8.3% and the month-over-month number to surpass 1.0%. He added that, under his projections, real wages would be down over 4.0% since Biden took office in January 2021.

Republicans on the Senate Banking Committee have repeatedly slammed the Federal Reserve for its persistent push to address climate change in recent months. The lawmakers said the Fed is increasingly focusing on areas outside of its congressional mandate.

(FreedomWire.org) – The coming midterm elections are not looking good for Democrats. Short of some miracle, Democrats are going to get smacked with a Red Wave in November.

Over 30 Democrat incumbents announced their retirements, which is usually a clear sign of coming doom.

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced that she will run for re-election — which some saw as a move to “help” her struggling party — a Punchbowl News poll taken among senior House staffers found that 60% believe that the California Democrat will retire after the midterm elections.

“The poll also sampled general House staffers. Among the typical House staffers, 54 percent said Pelosi will retire. Congressional staffers are personnel that assists members of Congress and committees, answer constituent mail, write questions for committee hearings, conduct communication duties, and plot legislative maneuvers,” Breitbart reported.

“That more senior staffers believe Pelosi will retire likely comes from more experience and therefore carries more weight. Senior staffers told Punchbowl News Pelosi would not announce her retirement in the middle of a congressional session. But they do acknowledge Pelosi has previously said this would be her last term as speaker,” the outlet added.

National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Tom Emmer is very confident that Republicans will take back the U.S. House of Representatives next year.

During an interview with Breitbart, Emmer said Republicans are going to retire House Speaker Nancy Pelosi once and for all.

Emmer said Republicans “should find a candidate or candidates, they should share their treasure by supporting them financially, they should share their talents by offering to volunteer in a campaign, because look, the world is run by those who show up and those who show up and do the work, they own our freedom, and there’s never been a time like right now, Matt, to get involved and take a position.”

“If you sit back and be quiet, you’re not gonna be happy with what these socialist Democrats are gonna do to our country, cause this is no longer a choice between a degree of freedom — the right of someone to self-determine versus the size and scope of government — this is literally a choice between two fundamentally different views of the United States of America. On one side, the socialists, they wanna make all the decisions for you. On the other side, we still believe in free markets and the right of people to achieve their American dream by hard work and playing by the rules,” he said.

No matter what happens with Pelosi, Democrats should be very worried that they will lose control of the House in the 2022 midterm elections.

According to a new poll from Democracy Corps, enthusiasm among Republicans to vote in the midterm elections outpaces Democrats by double digits.

The survey found that 68% of Republicans remain engaged ahead of 2022. Meanwhile, Democrats have seen their engagement slip to 57%, an 11-point cushion for the GOP.

The survey also found that Republican voters remain firmly in the camp of Trump, with only 16% of Republicans identifying as “non-Trump conservatives.”

In the battleground states, which most likely decide the balance of power, only 9% of Republican voters identify themselves as part of the same group.

The survey comes as the GOP is poised to take back the House next November and could even regain control of the Senate.

Thirty-seven percent cited as their top priority “D.C. corruption/dysfunction,” followed by 18% who said immigration, 10% who said healthcare, and 10% who said jobs and the economy.

Republicans need a net gain of 5 seats to regain the House majority in the midterms next November.

House Republicans have history on their side as they aim to regain the chamber.

The party that controls the White House, which is currently the Democrats, on average loses roughly 25 House seats in the midterm elections.

And the once-in-a-decade redistricting process – pegged to the 2020 census – is expected to generally favor Republicans over Democrats.

(FreedomWire.org) – After receiving plenty of funds from numerous federal COVID-19 pandemic recovery bills, Democratic-led states are blocking Republican legislators’ efforts to give relief to taxpayers.

According to a December report by CNBC, since the pandemic began in March 2020, the federal government has passed more than $5 trillion in spending dedicated to battling the pandemic.

Billions of those funds went to states to compensate for increased unemployment benefits, school reopening, and a myriad of pandemic-related expenses.

However, many states spent only a fraction of the funds allocated to them, leaving the budget in a surplus.

Now, Republican legislators in some of these “blue states” are trying to get tax relief bills passed, using cash from the surplus of pandemic-related funds to return money to taxpayers in those states.

Yet, according to the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), their efforts are being thwarted by Democrats.

Deputy Communications Director of the RSLC, Mason Di Palma, expressed dismay at what Democrats are doing, writing in a statement that “Americans are struggling… with record inflation and skyrocketing gas prices” an issue he attributed to “the failed policies of Joe Biden and his liberal allies.”

Di Palma acknowledged that while Republicans in Colorado, New Mexico, Maryland, Vermont, and Washington “are looking to ease the financial pain for their constituents by introducing tax reform bills… Democrats are playing politics with people’s lives.”

He noted that Democrats had blocked the proposals “At a time where Americans could use a little relief.”

The RSLC also referenced a poll it sponsored in battleground states that found 74% of voters in those states support a tax cut.

The poll conducted by Cygnal surveyed 2,217 likely voters from 13 states, including Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

It also revealed that 95% of voters felt the cost of living and rising inflation would determine how they vote in the upcoming elections.

Pointing to Democratic-led Colorado, the RSLC mentioned that state Democrats blocked HB1021, a bill that “would have reduced both individual and corporate state income tax rates from 4.55% to 4.4%.”

Tax-reducing bills in New Mexico, Vermont, Maryland, and Washington have also stalled, according to the RSLC.

(FreedomWire.org) – The Democrats face losing control of the House in November’s midterm elections, but they’re not going down without a fight – even if it means rigging the system in their favor. Now, New York’s Dem-controlled state legislature has put forward a new redistricting map that cuts the number of seats overall, but increases the number for Dems.

On January 30, Democrat state representatives released a new proposal for New York’s congressional districts. The state needs to reduce its number of districts from 27 to 26, to reflect population changes that have seen millions of people abandoning Democrat-controlled coastal cities and moving to red states. However, Dems have jumped on the chance to do some industrial-scale gerrymandering. Right now, New York has 19 Democrat representatives and 8 Republican ones. Under the proposed changes, if voting patterns remained the same, that would shift to 22 Democrats and just 4 Republicans.

This isn’t just a concern in New York. Nationally, Democrat legislatures have already pushed through redistricting maps that would have given their party an extra five seats in the House in 2020. If New York’s map is approved, that will rise to eight. Right now, the Democrats have a 10-seat advantage in the House, and the Republicans are hoping to take control in November. It’s unlikely the Dems will get as many extra seats as they expect because the polls are predicting a big shift to the GOP, but they’re certainly trying.
