(FreedomWire.org) – White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dodged a question about whether President Joe Biden supported reparations for slavery Tuesday.

“We understand that there’s a legislation on the Hill currently on this, on the study of reparations … and we think Congress is the appropriate venue for consideration on such action,” Jean-Pierre said in response to a reporter’s question during Tuesday’s White House press briefing. “And so, we’re going to leave it there for Congress to decide to let them go through their process that they’re taking at this moment, but I would — I would lay out and speak to what the president has done.”

Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas introduced legislation, the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act or HR 40, to study reparations Jan. 9. A similar bill, also introduced by Jackson-Lee, was voted out of the House Judiciary Committee on April 14, 2021.

President Joe Biden said during the 2020 presidential campaign that he supported a commission on reparations, Politico reported, however, after Jackson-Lee’s bill was voted on by the House Judiciary Committee, Biden did not push it during a speech to mark the 100th anniversary of a race riot targeting blacks in Tulsa in June 2021. Jean-Pierre said at the time that Biden backed a reparations committee, but felt the priority was to “root out systemic racism,” according to Politico.

San Francisco approved a draft of a plan to provide $5 million payments to black residents who met at least two criteria as a means of providing reparations for slavery Mar. 14. The criteria in the proposal included serving time for drug crimes or those affected by a 1954-1973 urban renewal plan.

Biden signed an executive order establishing “Agency Equity Teams” Feb 16, a follow up to an order he signed on his first day in office. Among the provisions in that executive order is a requirement to ensure that the use of artificial intelligence by government “advanced equity.”

(FreedomWire.org) – The White House press briefing got off to a shaky start as one reporter accused the press secretary of discriminating against him and other reporters.

Members of the cast of the Apple TV+ show “Ted Lasso” visited the White House on Monday to speak about mental health.

However, it was only a short period after White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the cast members appeared that chaos broke out.

“No, no, no, no, no, we’re not doing this, we’re not doing this,” she said as Today News Africa’s Simon Ateba began to confront her before the briefing began.

Ateba accused the press secretary of discriminating against him and other press corps members and added, “This is not China. This is not Russia… You are making a mockery of the First Amendment.”

“It’s been seven months. You’ve not called on me. That’s not right,” he added.

Other reporters could be heard urging Ateba to stop talking and let Jean-Pierre start the briefing. One reporter said, “Sir, let it go.”

“Are we ready? Are we going to behave?” Jean-Pierre asked before making some initial comments.

After the “Ted Lasso” cast left, Jean-Pierre attempted to address Ateba’s outburst.

But before she spoke, Ateba said, “You can’t keep discriminating against some people in the briefing room because you can’t like them.”

While he kept talking, someone yelled, “Decorum!”

A couple of other reporters confronted Ateba over his behavior and suggested he should take up issues he has with Jean-Pierre “later.”

“The entire press corps… is tired of dealing with this,” one reporter asserted.

Another reporter said, “Mind your manners when you’re in here. If you have a problem, you bring it up afterward.”

“But you are impinging on everybody in here who’s only trying to do their job!” he added.

Finally, Jean-Pierre said, “This is the White House Press Briefing Room, a historic room. A room that should have decorum, a room where folks should respect their colleagues and respect the guests that are here. And I understand that there’s going to be give and take… I will always, always respect that.”

“What has just occurred this last 10, 15 minutes is unacceptable,” she added.

The lack of transparency from the Joe Biden and White House Secretary KJP has been evident, and many media members have been fed up for some time now.

(FreedomWire.org) – Reporters snap back at  White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday after she told them they would have the opportunity to ask President Biden questions from the press pool at an upcoming meeting with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar.

The exchange happened during the daily White House press briefing after Jean-Pierre was questioned over why there was not a joint press conference scheduled between Biden and Varadkar, who is set to visit Washington, D.C., on Friday.

“Can you say why not and whether that might be added to the schedule tomorrow? This is kind of becoming a pattern with a lot of the world leaders who are coming to the White House,” a reporter asked Jean-Pierre.

“I’ve spoken to this many times… I’ve brought it up many times and I gave an explanation that these are diplomatic conversations that happen with the countries that are visiting, and it is something that is decided in that way,” Jean-Pierre responded.

“You’re going to have an opportunity, or your colleagues are going to have an opportunity, to ask questions during the pool spray at the Oval that happens every time a head of state visits. So that is an opportunity to be able to pose a question to the president or the head of state that is visiting at the White House on that day,” she added.

Reporters immediately started pushing back, with one saying, “But he never answers questions during those periods,” referring to Biden.

“That’s not true. He’s answered questions,” Jean-Pierre responded.

The room then erupted, with one reporter saying they get “yelled at” when they try to ask questions, and another saying reporters get “shouted down” by members of the White House staff whenever they try to ask questions.

Jean-Pierre attempted to speak, but continued getting peppered with complaints from the reporters.

“I hear you guys. I hear you guys. I hear you guys,” she finally said, chuckling. “Look, the two-plus-two is something that is done in coordination with the country that is visiting. That is not something that is unilaterally decided. That is something that is in discussion with the other country.”

She avoided directly answering the reporters’ concerns over Biden not answering questions, and reiterated that they would have an “opportunity” to ask questions of the two leaders on Friday.

“I cannot speak to who is going to take questions or who is not going to take questions.” she said. “As you know, this is a president that takes shouted questions often, but the two-plus-two is not a unilateral decision. It is a decision that happens with the visiting country in coordination with them.”

Biden, however, didn’t answer questions during the meeting with the Irish Prime Minister. He instead sat there smirking while reporters were again asked to leave.

Reporters are becoming more and more frustrated with Biden refusing to take questions when he is done speaking. He finishes reading the teleprompter and turns and just walks away.

(FreedomWire.org) – On Monday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre continued to dodge questions from reporters.

KJP declined to provide an explanation as to why two Russian billionaires, who are connected to the president’s son Hunter Biden, have not faced US sanctions despite their involvement in the year-long conflict in Ukraine.

Yevtushenkov and Baturina, (the two billionaires) collaborated with Hunter Biden in the search for property investments in the United States when Joe Biden was serving as vice president. This information was obtained from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.

The reporter asked, “If you could share the reason why President Biden hasn’t sanctioned the Russian billionaires Vladimir Yevtushenkov and Yelena Baturina? How is he handling the conflict of interest there given his son was a business associate of these two people? And can you confirm that, as sitting vice president, he dined with Baturina in Georgetown?”

KJP deflected, “I’m just not speaking to anything that’s related to his son from here,” Jean-Pierre said, adding: “If you want to ask a question about Hunter Biden specifically, I would refer you to his family. And as it relates to any sanctions, I’m not speaking to individual persons from Russia.”

The White House Press Secretary is the chief spokesperson for Biden and her role is to communicate with the media on behalf of the President and the administration. Jean-Pierre has yet to do so, let alone provide any transparency with the people.

Last Thursday it was reported that two Russian billionaires that went property shopping with Hunter Biden, also had dinner with then-Vice President Joe Biden, and discussed possible “favors” they could exchange.

The billionaires have since then been able to evade U.S. sanctions related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which happened over a year ago. Additional information about Joe and Hunter Biden’s relationship with Yelena Baturina and Vladimir Yevtushenkov have emerged, shedding light on some of the intriguing hints found on Hunter Biden’s discarded laptop.

After the US Treasury Department announced a new round of sanctions on Friday, the sources spoke to The New York Post this week to report that the two Russian billionaires had once again managed to avoid being included in the sanctions list.

“I think it’s very fishy,” said an anonymous source.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov, who has a net worth of $1.9 billion according to Forbes, is a Russian businessman who owns a majority stake (59%) in AFK Sistema, a large Russian conglomerate with investments in various sectors, including MTS, Ozon, and Medsi. Yevtushenkov founded Sistema in 1993 and took it public in 2005. In 2014, Sistema was accused of illegally acquiring a controlling stake in oil firm Bashneft, which was later returned and sold to state-owned Rosneft.

Much of this information was found in Hunter Biden’s laptop but have been validated as more sources come forward with similar information.

Sources report that two Russian billionaires, who have ties to President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, have successfully evaded being sanctioned. According to emails retrieved from Hunter Biden’s laptop, he met with Vladimir Yevtushenkov and visited a commercial real estate project in 2013.

The Post reported that Hunter and one of the billionaires, Vladimir Yevtushenkov, met in New York City in 2011, with the Russian billionaire reportedly paying the then-vice president’s son to meet at a public restaurant. According to an email from Hunter’s laptop, they were set to meet again in 2013.

Emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop also show that he met with another Russian billionaire, Yelena Baturina, and her husband, ex-Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, at a dinner at Cafe Milano in Georgetown in 2015. Joe Biden also attended the dinner and stayed for about 40 minutes. The gathering also featured Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive at Ukrainian energy company Burisma, which paid Hunter up to $1m per year from 2014. Joe Biden was vice president at the time and controlled the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy.

The reports also revealed that MTS, Yevtushenkov’s company, faced a long-running investigation into nearly $1 billion in bribes paid to Uzbekistani officials between 2004 and 2012. The company ultimately settled the case with the Trump Justice Department in 2019, agreeing to pay an $850m fine.

(FreedomWire.org) – Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tripped up her words Thursday during a briefing, apparently forgetting that Joe Biden is president. Instead, she referred to the Commander in Chief as “President Obama.” Was it wishful thinking on her part—a Freudian slip?

Jean-Pierre’s slip came as she announced that the president had nominated former MasterCard CEO Ajay Banga to lead the World Bank.

“So today, as you all saw just an hour or so ago, President Obama announced that — um, pardon me, President Biden!” Kean-Pierre quickly corrected herself amid gasps and laughter from the White House press corps.

“Whoa! Ahem, that is news,” she said. “I know, I know. We’re going back, not forwards. We got to go forward.”

Jean-Pierre, is a longtime adviser to Biden dating back to his time as Obama’s vice president.

Many people think Obama and his team have been running things behind the scenes anyway, so perhaps that’s what caused the gaffe.

Or maybe it was just wishful thinking on KJP’s part? I’m betting she’d rather be working for Obama than playing clean-up on Aisle Biden every day for a living. Whatever you think about Barack, he was a smooth-talker who rarely garbled the language the way Joe does each and every day.

Plus, he would actually take questions and even give in-person briefings, taking some of the heat off the press secretary.

Jean-Pierre is not alone, Biden himself is also famously known for flubs. He has repeatedly called Vice President Kamala Harris the president , including as recently as last month.

The president was making remarks on immigration at the White House in January when he singled out Harris.

“President Harris led this effort — led this effort to make things better in the countries from which they are leaving,” Biden said.

The commander-in-chief made similar blunders in October, calling Harris a “great president,” and last January, when he referred to his second-in-command as “President Harris.”

The flubs date back to December 2020, shortly after the Biden-Harris ticket won the presidential election when Biden called his running mate “President-elect Harris.”

Biden himself doesn’t sound like he believes he’s in charge.

(FreedomWire.org) – Journalist have grow impatient with The White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s repeated excuse to avoid tough questions.

She continues to use The Hatch Act, a 1939 federal law prohibiting government employees from engaging in political activities or promoting a political campaign, came into vogue as a Democratic tool when President Donald Trump was in office and while you may hear plenty in the media about people being charged with violating the law you’d be hard pressed to cite any convictions.

Known for having their cake and eating it too, Democrats are also quick to hide behind the Hatch Act, which exempts the president and vice president. Look no further than White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, who is apt to say, “As you know, I’m covered by the Hatch Act.”

Biden’s affirmative action spokesperson has uttered the phrase 33 times since September, according to Fox News.

Politico noted in an article that KJP hides behind the law to avoid tough questions asked about how the president feels about issues involving various Democratic politicians, reporting that members of the media “are privately grumbling that Jean-Pierre is applying an overly broad definition of Hatch Act restrictions to the topics they’re asking,” further claiming that she is using the law as “an escape hatch.”

On Tuesday, Jean-Pierre cited the Hatch Act when she declined to answer questions from AP’s Zeke Miller about whether Biden would return campaign donations from disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. When Miller rephrased the question to ask about Biden’s personal opinion on the issue, Jean-Pierre responded: “I am covered by the Hatch Act, which I’m happy to say over and over again, because we believe in the rule of law here.”

Earlier this month, Twitter CEO Elon Musk revealed internal company deliberations in the lead up to the 2020 election about how to handle an article related to Hunter Biden’s leaked laptop files. When asked, Jean-Pierre said the Hatch Act prevented her from answering whether then-candidate Biden’s team had been in contact with Twitter about its decision to block users from sharing the news story.

The article points out that at the same time, Jean-Pierre waxes on about how well Democrats did in the midterms and often uses politically-charged terms like “mega MAGA Republicans,” “ultra-MAGA,” and “extreme MAGA.”

“I think reporters get the feeling that it’s a way to avoid having to answer some delicate questions,” one White House journalist told Politico. “You can almost feel the entire briefing room rolling their eyes when they hear the Hatch Act drop.”

“It’s pretty obvious it’s become her latest verbal crutch when she’s trying to avoid a question that’s even remotely campaign-related,” another White House reporter said. “She’s extremely cautious about stuff but this has become a tactic to avoid even the simplest questions.”

Naturally, the Biden White House blames Trump — the U.S. Office of Special Counsel announced in Nov. 2021 that it discovered “violations by 13 senior Trump administration officials, including two violations in connection with the 2020 RNC.” Conveniently, the federal agency doesn’t have to prove the allegations because discipline “is no longer possible once subjects leave government service.”

“This White House believes in the Rule of Law and we’ll continue to provide information to members of the media while working within the bounds of federal statutes,” said White House spokesperson Robyn Patterson. “If reporters have an issue with the Hatch Act, they have every right to petition their members of Congress to push for changes to the law.”

This being the same White House that has blown open our southern border with Mexico, making a mockery of U.S. immigration laws as more than 5 million illegal immigrants have entered in less than two years.

Jean-Pierre’s predecessor, Jen Psaki, had a complaint filed against her by the government watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, which claimed during a press briefing that she said “we’re going to do everything we can to help former Governor McAuliffe, and we believe in the agenda he’s representing.” The group said she violated the law last year by improperly endorsing McAuliffe for governor of Virginia.

“Questions related to campaign issues are not necessarily ‘off the table,’ but an employee must take into account all the circumstances of the situation at hand to determine whether answering a question would constitute political activity,” Delaney Marsco, senior legal counsel at the Campaign Legal Center, told Fox News.

“To me, it makes sense that Karine Jean-Pierre is being careful when she weighs in on things that could be construed as political activity,” Marsco added.

(FreedomWire.org) – The incompetence of the Biden administration has been on full display for the world to see.

During a White House press briefing, Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made an embarrassing mistake that quickly went viral on social media.

Four times in a row, Jean-Pierre incorrectly pronounced the Nobel Prize by using the word “noble.”

It’s worth noting that Jean-Pierre previously work for 2009 Nobel prize winner Barack Obama.

This certainly isn’t the first time that Jean-Pierre has struggled behind the White House podium.

Jean-Pierre was recently unable to answer simple questions by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy about Biden’s student loan forgiveness plan.

Doocy asked, “About the student loans, how can the country afford such a massive handout?”

Jean-Pierre answered, “If you look at what this president has done, if you look at the coming end of the fiscal year, $1.7 trillion that we brought down the deficit. That matters.”

“And if you look at the Inflation Reduction Act, it’s going to add another $300 billion going to bring down the deficit again,” she said.

She continued, “We are doing this responsibly. You heard directly from the president this is something that is going to be important for middle-class Americans.”

“When you think about 90 percent of the folks who are going to actually benefit from this are making $75,000 or less, and you think about what Republicans did just a couple of years ago, they signed off on a $2 trillion tax cut for the wealthy and did not provide any way to pay for that.”

Doocy, looking for a better answer asked, “Who is paying for this?”

“What we are saying is the work that this administration has done, the work that the Democrats and Congress have done, is actually there. And you see that the $1.7 trillion deficit deduction that you see is going to benefit us in being able to do something for the middle class,” the press secretary responded.

Still, Doocy countered, “But when you forgive the debt, you’re not just disappearing debt. So who is paying for this?”

“We’re going to lift the pause [on student loan payments] at the end of this year, which is going to matter, right? Which is going to offset a lot of what we’re doing as well. When you think about the $4 billion that’s going to go back as revenue back into this process of folks paying their college tuition, that matters as well,” Jean-Pierre added in a “smart way.”

Eventually, Jean-Pierre went on to the next reporter.

(FreedomWire.org) – Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, made his way back to the White House for a news briefing on Tuesday.

His return didn’t go quite as smoothly as White House officials were likely hoping it would, thanks to one adamant reporter.

According to Fox News, that reporter was Diana Glebova, the Daily Caller’s White House correspondent, whose questions prompted a scolding from White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Glebova attempted to ask Fauci about the origins of COVID before Jean-Pierre shut the line of inquiry down.

“We have a process here. I’m not calling out on people who yell. And you’re being … disrespectful to your colleagues, and you’re being disrespectful to our guest,” Jean-Pierre said.

“I will not call on you if you yell, and also you’re taking time off the clock because Dr. Fauci has to leave in a couple of minutes.”

Another reporter, Simon Ateba of Today News Africa, came to the defense of his fellow reporter.

As he spoke out, a bit of chaos ensued in the briefing room as numerous voices began to talk over one another.

“You need to call people across the room. She has a valid question. She’s asked about the origin of COVID,” Ateba said.

Jean-Pierre again doubled down.

“It is not your turn. It is not your turn,” Jean-Pierre said.

“I hear the question. I hear your question, but we’re not doing this the way you want it. This is disrespectful.”

“Simon, I’m done. Simon, I’m done. I’m done with you right now. … You’re taking time away from your colleagues.

It is strange that they won’t tolerate questions on the virus origin. Is it because Fauci funded the gain of function research in Wuhan that most likely created it?
