(FreedomWire.org) – Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard says Vice President Kamala Harris is showing outrage for Brittney Griner, but not for her fellow Americans who are sitting in prison today because of minor marijuana violations — including some of whom were prosecuted by Harris when she was the California Attorney General.

“How come you are not fighting as hard for them to be returned home and reunited with their families as you are for Brittney Griner,” Gabbard said to Fox News’ Will Cain.

“To me, the message to the American people through the administration’s actions is loud and clear, is that if you are rich and powerful or famous, then you will get special treatment from this administration. If you are not. We don’t care about you, and we’re going to let you sit there and rot in jail.”

Her comments come after WNBA player Brittney Griner was sentenced to nine years in prison in Russia. Griner was convicted of carrying vape cartridges containing cannabis oil. She’s also been ordered to pay a fine of one million Rubles.

In June, the Biden administration offered to exchange convicted Russian arms trafficker Viktor Bout for Griner and Paul Whelan.

Russian official Dmitry Peskov said that “no agreements have been finalized.”

Gabbard was responding to a tweet from Harris in which the Vice President said Russia is wrongfully detaining Griner who should be released immediately.

“POTUS and I, and our entire Administration, are working every day to reunite Brittney, as well as Paul Whelan, with loved ones who miss each of them dearly,” Harris wrote on Twitter.

(FreedomWire.org) – It seemed obvious that Joe Biden’s selection of Kamala Harris as his running mate was a bad idea.

The Biden-Harris White House has had over 30 senior staffers jump ship — many from Kamala’s office. The latest is Michael Collins, Harris’s director of public engagement; he follows senior aides Meghan Groob and Rohini Kosoglu, who departed a few weeks prior. Groob was Kamala’s director of speechwriting; it’s easy to understand that one, because who would have actually thought she had a director of speechwriting anyway?

“It has been a difficult decision, but I’ve decided to leave this amazing experience in the middle of August and transition to the next stage of my life,” Collins said in his letter of resignation. “I’m so grateful to the Vice President for trusting me with this privilege and was honored to support the President’s and Vice President’s tireless, committed and historic work.”

Collins had been in his position for sixteen months, and leaving now, mere months before the midterms, seems oddly self-serving. Turnover in an administration is common, but too much turnover is typically a sign of trouble. People tend to spend two to four years at the White House before moving on. The rapid turnover in the Trump administration was seen as a sign of problems, and it definitely was. So objective observers can’t deny that staffers are leaving the Biden administration at a rate that indicates all is not well — even if the administration won’t admit it. Team Kamala is imploding…fast.

One would think that Harris’s aides would tough things out as long as possible. Her being a heartbeat away from the presidency would certainly make it a wise career move to stick around, in case Harris were to take over. But clearly, no one sees that possibility as being worth the risk of sticking around.

(FreedomWire.org) – Kamala Harris on Friday delivered remarks at the 90th Annual Meeting of the US Conference of Mayors in Reno, Nevada. In true Harris fashion, she awkwardly cackles and speaks in a bizarre way.

Harris told the mayors it’s time to push for stricter gun laws as she rattled off the usual Democrat-Marxist talking points.

“We need to take action. And we know it is even more clear this day, just after the massacre of those 19 babies in Uvalde, after the killing just two days ago in Tulsa of 4 people, and after the countless lives lost to gun violence every day on streets across America,” Harris said at the Peppermill Resort.

“So, it’s clear that we must renew the assault weapons ban. We must expand background checks. We must repeal the liability shield that protects gun manufacturers. And we must pass red-flag laws to prevent people from possessing firearms if they are a danger to themselves or others,” she said to applause.

“Let us not allow those who are motivated by hate to separate us or to make us feel fear. Let us not allow that. We all have so much more in common than what separates us,” Harris said.

Then she had these inspiring words for the nation’s mayors: “And I know that each of you is up to this challenge because – you – are- the mayor,” she said cackling.

Sky News host Rita Panahi says, Vice President Kamala Harris spoke to a room full of mayors at a recent conference “as if they’re in the second grade.”

“She seems to talk to everybody on that level,” Panahi said.

(FreedomWire.org) – Not letting a tragedy go to waste, the Biden administration is exploiting the recent massacres in Uvalde, Texas and Buffalo, New York to push for strict gun control measures. Since the psychotic shooter took the lives of 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary last week, both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have been on a gun grabbing tour.

Over the weekend, Harris attended a funeral for one of the victims of the Buffalo shooting and while giving remarks at Ruth Whitfield’s service, Harris hijacked the mourning of family and friends to call on lawmakers to ban “assault weapons.”

“Everybody’s got to stand up and agree that this should not be happening in our country,” said Harris.

“We are not sitting around, waiting to figure out what the solution looks like,” she said, continuing to fumble her words, “We know what works on this. It includes… let’s have an assault weapons ban.”

“An assault weapon is a weapon of war,” Harris added, “with no place in a civil society.”

In reality, however, there is no such thing as an “assault weapon.” The type of weapons used in Buffalo and Uvalde fire no faster than any other semi-automatic, such as a Glock 19 pistol or a Ruger 10/22 hunting rifle. This term is mere propaganda that politicians use to conflate the AR-style rifles with machine guns. And based on many comments online about people thinking these guns are “fully automatic,” the propaganda works.

Josh Sugarmann, founder and executive director of the Violence Policy Center, laid out this strategy of misdirection and obfuscation in a 1988 report on “Assault Weapons and Accessories in America,” saying that because “few people can envision a practical use for these guns,” the public should be more inclined to support a ban on “assault weapons” than a ban on handguns. While handguns are by far the most common kind of firearm used to commit crimes, they are also the most popular choice for self-defense. Proscribing “assault weapons” therefore sounds more reasonable.

The fact is that more people die by “personal weapons” — which according to the FBI are someone’s “hands, fists, feet, etc,” than die at the hand of an AR-style rifle.

This propaganda over weapon types is nothing new and anti-gun politicians have long channeled this emotional response to incite fear. It is important to point out as well that the “anti-gun” politicians are actually only half anti-gun. When they say ban guns, they only want to ban your guns, not theirs.

(FreedomWire.org) – After promising to lunch with Vice President Kamala Harris once a week, when he first took office, President Biden has only lunched with Harris twice in the last four months.

When Biden gained office, he vowed to make lunching alone with Harris a weekly event, as had been the case when he was President Barack Obama’s Vice President but has fallen short of the promise, according to his calendar.

Real Clear Politics noted that Biden the lunches would be “the deal when we’re both in-country,” adding that “we’ll be for a while because of COVID, and I see her all the time.”

However, since the President has taken office, Biden and Harris’ offices seem to have grown distant.
Many speculate this has to do with Harris’s mishandling issues and her reportedly toxic work environment, which have blemished her image and her central role in the White House.

This week, Harris’s distant relationship with the President came under scrutiny when she tested positive for COVID-19, but Biden wasn’t listed under her close contacts.

The White House statement clarified that Harris and Biden had last seen each other eight days before her positive test — on April 18.

When questioned about Biden not sticking to his promise of frequent lunches, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki argued that the lunches are still a top priority for Biden.

On Wednesday (April 27), Psaki said to reporters that Harris and Biden would not be “dining in person while she is quarantining at home.” However, she emphasized that they had spoken on Tuesday (April 26), adding that she expects Biden and Harris “will speak regularly while she is quarantining.”

However, even the liberal media is admitting there is tension between President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

(FreedomWire.org) – While on the road in California this week, Vice President Kamala Harris made a stop at Vandenburg Space Force Base north of Los Angeles to announce a new U.S. policy that again handicaps U.S. defense capabilities when it comes to ensuring foreign threats are able to be deterred or destroyed.

As ABC7 reported, “the vice president announced that the United States is committing to a ban on destructive, anti-satellite missile testing, and calling on other countries to do the same.” The Biden administration’s ban comes after Russia and China have already carried out such tests in the past and are unlikely to heed the Biden administration’s request that they stop pursuing offensive space capabilities.

If the U.S. sticks to Harris’ commitment, that puts America at a disadvantage in space against foreign foes who may seek to take out critical satellites and now know there won’t be a retaliatory hit from the United States. So, not exactly the “peace through strength” that’s necessary to deal with nations like China and Russia.

Harris also, in the course of her remarks to Space Force Guardians, attempt to explain…space. In a section of her remarks delivered Monday, ones that were reminiscent of her comments on the “significance of the passage of time,” she really went for it:

“I think everyone here recognizes how extraordinary space is,” Harris said. “Whether it is satellites that orbit the earth, humans that land on the moon, or telescopes that peer into the furthest reaches of the universe, space is exciting,” she told the Space Force Guardians who presumably were already aware of what space is. “It spurs our imaginations, and it forces us to ask big questions,” Harris added. “Space, it affects us all — and it connects us all.”

Thank you, space cadet Harris.

(FreedomWire.org) – Kamala Harris appeared on the Willie Moore show over the weekend to discuss soaring gas prices and the Biden Admin’s infrastructure package.

Harris was asked about soaring gas prices and she delivered a word salad.

“How do we get to a solution for gas prices?” the host asked Kamala Harris.

Gas prices are at record highs because of Joe Biden’s war on American energy production.

“Well first of all we’ve been, um, you know, understanding that it is a real issue, um, what we have done is we’ve actually released some of the reserves, the petroleum reserves to bring down the cost of gas prices. And we are also dealing with – the cost of gas is just part of the issue of the cost of living, right?” Harris said. “It’s too expensive for too many people.”

Kamala Harris was also asked for some words of encouragement to Americans who are struggling.

“I would say first of all thank you for being a fighter, for knowing that we have reason to have faith in what is possible but we have to work to make it achievable and that includes what folks did to get out and vote in 2020 because that led to – I think of it like this – people put in their order and said this is what I want.”

(FreedomWire.org) – Vice President Kamala Harris was initially scheduled this week to travel to Brussels, Belgium, to meet with NATO officials to discuss the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, but she’s been bumped in lieu of the commander-in-chief himself, a report noted Sunday.

Harris has made two trips to Europe to discuss the conflict, while during one of her trips President Joe Biden went to Texas instead to discuss how burn pits in Afghanistan and Iraq affected U.S. military personnel who served in either country.

But, the New York Post reports, this week Biden will head to Europe and has added a stopover in Poland to talk about Ukraine with NATO and other European allies.

“Biden will fly to Warsaw on Friday following his trip to Brussels where he is scheduled to meet with NATO allies, G7 leaders, and European Union leaders to discuss humanitarian efforts in Ukraine and economic sanctions on Russia, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement Sunday night,” the Post reported.

“He will meet with Polish President Andrzej Duda on Saturday to discuss how the US and its allies are ‘responding to the humanitarian and human rights crisis that Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked war on Ukraine has created,’” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki added.

As further noted by The Daily Wire:

In mid-February, Biden dispatched Harris to Europe in an attempt to avert Russia’s apparently imminent invasion of Ukraine.

As Harris flew to Germany to deliver a message from the U.S. in an effort to avert what would be the largest conflict in Europe since World War II, Biden headed to Lorain, Ohio, to talk about his infrastructure plan. Biden was back in the White House by 3:15 p.m., even as Harris was just halfway to Europe.

“Biden is deploying Kamala Harris to Europe to help ease Russia-Ukraine tensions,” Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) tweeted then, adding mockingly: “Right, because she’s doing so well with our southern border…”

At the time, Harris met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in addition to leaders of the Baltic states — meetings that U.S. presidents typically attend, not their vice presidents.

“Then earlier this month, Harris traveled to Europe again to meet Polish President Andrzej Sebastian Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, along with Ukrainians who have fled. She also met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau while in Warsaw,” The Daily Wire’s Joseph Curl reported.

“The U.S. move was unusual, to say the least. Vice presidents usually meet with vice presidents, foreign ministers with foreign ministers (or, in the case of the U.S., the Secretary of State) — but presidents meet with presidents, so it was a decidedly odd decision for Biden to send his underling to such important meetings while the largest conflict in Europe since World War II was raging,” he added.

While in Europe recently, Harris was ripped for a number of gaffes and inappropriate answers to engaging questions.

During a speech in Warsaw, Poland, she appeared to forget where she was.

“I am here, standing here on the northern flank, on the eastern flank, talking about what we have in terms of the eastern flank and our NATO allies, and what is at stake at this very moment,” she stammered as she checked her notes.

In another instance, Harris was dragged domestically and internationally for engaging in her trademark cackling laugh during an awkward movement involving a substantive question from a reporter about the U.S. accepting Ukrainian refugees, given that millions have already left their country.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed,” she said, looking over at the Polish leader before laughing out loud.

The exchange led Zelenskyy’s former press secretary, Iuliia Mendel, to tweet, the delete, this: “It would be a tragedy if this woman won the presidency.”

(FreedomWire.org) – Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz is speculating that Joe Biden may nominate Vice President Kamala Harris to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court “to get her out of the White House.”

During an interview with Michael Knowles on the podcast “Verdict,” Cruz and the hosts spoke about liberal Justice Stephen Breyer announcing that he will retire from the bench at the end of the term.

Biden reaffirmed his promise to nominate a black woman to serve on the Supreme Court. There’s also been no public indication that Biden is going to pick Harris for the soon-to-be vacancy.

“Look, the Democratic Party is very worried that she’s the presumed successor to Joe Biden because her political negatives are so strong,” Cruz said on the podcast.

“I think there is a chance they nominate Kamala to the court in part because they can’t stand her and one of the virtues of naming her to the court is they get to get her out of the White House,” he said.

Breyer notified Biden last week of his intent to resign at the end of the court’s current term.

Breyer stated in a letter dated Jan. 27 that he wants to have his successor lined up before he steps down.

“I am writing to tell you that I have decided to retire from regular active judicial service as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, and to serve under the provisions of 28 U.S.C. 371(b),” Breyer wrote, referring to the statute dealing with retired justices and their ability to continue collecting a salary.

“I intend this decision to take effect when the Court rises for the summer recess this year (typically late June or early July) assuming that by then my successor has been nominated and confirmed,” Breyer added in the letter.

Biden spoke Thursday afternoon from the White House, thanking Breyer and praising him as an “exemplary justice,” before addressing the matter of his replacement.

“Choosing someone to sit on the Supreme Court, I believe, is one of the most serious constitutional responsibilities a president has,” Biden said, stating that his “process is going to be rigorous.”

Biden then said he has reviewed some possible candidates and reiterated his campaign pledge to choose a Black woman.

The White House has confirmed that U.S. District Court Judge J. Michelle Childs is on Biden’s shortlist of names to replace retiring Justice Stephen Breyer, according to USA Today.

“Judge J. Michelle Childs has served on the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina since 2010. House Majority Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C., an ally to the Biden administration, supports Childs,” the outlet added.

“Childs, whom Biden nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit this month, is the first candidate the White House has publicly confirmed. Her consideration for the Supreme Court was reported by The Washington Post days before she was scheduled to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee for her confirmation hearing,” the report continued.

“Biden is considering more than a dozen candidates for the seat, according to a source familiar with the process who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitives involved with the nomination process,” USA Today added.

“Some of the names under consideration have circulated for months, including Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson of the D.C. Circuit and California Supreme Court Associate Justice Leondra Kruger. The White House is also considering Sherrilyn Ifill, who is stepping down as president of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Anita Earls, the source said,” the report stated.

The U.S. Senate is currently split 50-50, but Vice President Kamala Harris can cast the tie-breaking vote for Democrats to confirm Biden’s eventual nominee to the Supreme Court.

To the surprise of many, South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey But Graham made it clear over the weekend that Biden’s pick may get some support from Republicans.
