(FreedomWire.org) – On Monday morning, the White House officially confirmed a trip is in its weekly guidance for the president’s week. On Wednesday, August 10, “the President and the First Lady will travel to Kiawah Island, South Carolina.”

The Bidens’ weeklong trip to South Carolina comes as Americans struggle to make ends meet amid 40-year high inflation, a newly confirmed recession, and soaring interest rates. Credit card debt is skyrocketing as Americans find themselves unable to make ends meet as living to paycheck-to-paycheck still fails to close the gap for more expensive goods and services.

Meanwhile, the Biden administration is preparing a new package of aid for Ukraine — even though there are increasing questions about whether American contributions to Ukraine’s war effort are making it to their intended destinations and recipients. And in the Pacific, China continues to escalate its live fire drills around Taiwan following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taipei.

None of that, apparently, is enough to keep Biden close to the White House should there be any urgent developments or to show the American people that he really can “taste” their frustration — as he once bizarrely claimed — under Biden’s economic policies.

Biden, apparently, still needs a break from D.C. despite already spending a significant number of his weekends as president at his Delaware retreats — including the weekend that just ended once Biden finally tested negative for COVID-19 again following his “rebound” bout of the virus Biden campaigned on a promise to “shut down.”

In the year since President Joe Biden was caught apparently off-guard by the rapid fall of Afghanistan to Taliban fighters while he tried to enjoy an August vacation, he seemingly is still not willing to let a world on edge deter his escape from Washington.

(FreedomWire.org) – In a sign of just how desperate President Joe Biden is for a political victory — any victory — yesterday, he took credit for the recent slight decrease in the price of gasoline consumers are paying at the pump.

A slight decrease that still has the price per gallon at a level most vehicle owners have never paid in their lifetime.

In a tweet Biden said, “folks, as we fight inflation, bringing down gas prices is a big part of the job, and here’s the good news. Gas prices have dropped every day this summer. That’s more than 40 days in a row. We now have 40,000 gas stations in the United States where the price of gas is $3.99 or less. How’d we get the price down? Well, a new report today shows that our plan to take oil out of storage, put it on the market, played a big part. Plus, I’m pressing the oil industry to pump more oil here in the United States, and as the global cost of oil drops, pass the savings on to the consumers. But we have a lot more to do. We’re working with the oil and gas industry to get production up and prices down, even as we stay focused on transitioning to a clean energy economy and I promise you, I’ll continue to do everything I can to bring down gas prices.”

(FreedomWire.org) – Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders lost it Sunday over Democratic West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin on ABC’s “This Week.”

Sanders cut off “This Week” host Martha Raddatz when she brought Manchin’s refusal to back a key bill for Democrats that covers climate provisions and tax hikes, as seen in a clip shared to Twitter. “Six months ago, I made it clear that you have people like Manchin, Sinema to a lesser degree, who are intentionally sabotaging the president’s agenda, what the American people want, what a majority of us in the Democratic Caucus want. Nothing new about this,” Sanders told Raddatz in the clip.

“And the problem was that we continued to talk Manchin like he was serious. He was not. This is a guy who is a major recipient of fossil fuel money, a guy who has received campaign contributions from 25 Republican billionaires,” Sanders continued in the clip.

Raddatz then played a clip of the West Virginian leader express his deep concerns over inflation in his state, asking Sanders for his reaction.”

“You ask the people of West Virginia whether they want to expand Medicare to cover dental, hearing and eyeglasses; you ask the people of West Virginia whether we should demand that the wealthiest people and large corporations start paying their fair share of taxes,” Sanders argued back, “Ask the people of West Virginia whether or not all people should have health care as a human right, like in every other country on Earth. That’s what they will say. In my humble opinion, you know, Manchin represents the very wealthiest people in this country, not working families in West Virginia or America.”

(FreedomWire.org) – Elon Musk took on Joe Biden after the president responded mockingly to observations the billionaire made about the struggling economy.

Biden make his remarks on Thursday during a press conference after Musk announced that he would have to lay off a significant number of Tesla employees because the economy is slowing.

In a message was sent to Tesla staff titled “pause all hiring worldwide,” Reuters reported, adding that in the email, Musk said he had a “super bad feeling” about the economy in general before writing that he was eyeing a 10-percent cut in the electric vehicle maker’s workforce.

Biden was asked to comment about Musk’s observations during his presser.

“While Elon Musk is talking about that, Ford is increasing their investment, overwhelmingly. I think Ford is increasing the investment in building new electric vehicles. Six thousand employees — union employees, I might add, in the Midwest. The former Chrysler Corporation, they also are making similar investments in electric vehicles. Intel is adding 20,000 new jobs making computer chips,” Biden said before quipping: So, you know, lots of luck on his trip to the moon.”

But it appears as though Musk is going to get the last laugh: On Friday, NASA announced it would be using SpaceX rockets for its next manned missions to return to the moon.

“Thanks Mr. President!” Musk noted in a tweet containing a press release from the U.S. space agency announcing the decision.

(FreedomWire.org) – This time last year, President Biden and Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen repeatedly downplayed the threat of inflation.

A year ago Yellen said, the Federal Reserve may need to respond to rising prices, leading to a brief panic in the stock market and, later, a clarification from the treasury secretary. “It may be that interest rates will have to rise somewhat to make sure our economy does not overheat.”

She went on to tell the Wall Street Journal that, after the stock market dips, “I don’t think there’s going to be an inflationary problem, but if there is, the Fed can be counted on to address them.”

Yellen finally acknowledged the problem in June saying inflation would rise to 3 percent by the end of the year. But even then she added, “But I personally believe that this represents transitory factors.” But six months later, on December 10, it becomes clear that inflation is at 6.8 percent and it’s not transitory.

On Tuesday, Yellen admitted she had failed to anticipate how long high inflation would continue to plague American consumers as the Biden administration works to contain a mounting political liability.

“I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take,” Yellen told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room” when asked about her comments from 2021 that inflation posed only a “small risk.”

The President, Yellen said Tuesday, knows “what an important and huge burden inflation is placing on American households.”

Biden said he was committed to fighting inflation as his top priority but then said step #1 in doing that was to acknowledge “the Federal Reserve has a primary responsibility to control inflation.” So between laying this at the feet of the Fed and having his own Treasury Secretary fall on her sword, it’s clear Biden is looking to avoid taking the blame for this personally.

(FreedomWire.org) – On this Sunday’s episode of “State of the Union,” Dana Bash grilled National Economic Council director Brian Deese on how the administration got it “so wrong” on inflation.

“Let’s talk about inflation,” Bash said. “It is still near the highest levels in four decades. I want to play what President Biden said about this issue almost a year ago compared to what he’s saying now.”

Bash then played a clip from Biden in which he said “the overwhelming consensus, it’s going to pop up a little bit and then go back down.”

“I want every American to know I’m taking inflation very seriously, and it’s my top domestic priority,” Biden said in another instance.

“How did the administration get that so wrong?” Bash then asked Deese.

“Look, a lot of things have changed over the course of the last year and we’ve dealt with a lot of unexpected challenges,” Deese said. “The delta wave of COVID, omicron on top of that. More recently, Putin’s invasion of Ukraine which has sent gyrations through global energy markets. What’s most important for the American people to understand right now is they have a president who is making clear, as you just played, that inflation is his top economic priority.”

“And that means a couple of things. First, we need to give the fed the space and the independence to do its job, which is to get inflation under control,” Deese continued. “Second, we need to lower costs for families, make things more affordable for them during this economic transition. Third, we need to reduce the federal deficit. If we reduce the federal deficit, we’ll help to reduce price pressures on the economy. We’ve made a lot of progress on that because of the president’s policies, but we can do more.”

Deese said the administration was looking at all possibilities to ease inflation.

(FreedomWire.org) – Joe Biden may claim that he cares about trying to lower gas prices in America, but his actions are telling a different story. He has come out and revealed that his administration would cancel a vast gas and oil lease located in Alaska. The lease has been pending approval, but it will not go through now that Biden is involved.

The cancellation of the gas lease is a significant blow to American oil. Biden plans to inflate prices so high that no one can afford to drive their gas-powered cars. The Democrat has also canceled several other oil leases that allowed for drilling out in the Gulf of Mexico.

Biden has blamed a lot of different sources for the record-high gas prices. He tried to blame the war with Vladimir Putin for the higher prices. Gas prices had already risen to record heights long before the war started. The president’s plan was to try and find a way to increase domestic supply and production.

But his commitment to such an endeavor was short-lived since he is secretly canceling contracts. The decision to kill all the deals was because there was no interest by anyone in drilling the area. The Gulf of Mexico cancellations was said to be connected to lawsuits and court rulings.

The Washington Post stated, “The Biden administration is poised to let the nationwide offshore drilling program expire next month without a new plan. Barring unexpected action, the current five-year offshore drilling program will lapse at June. Interior cannot hold any new oil and gas lease sales until it has completed a replacement plan.”

Biden plans to drag out the issue until all the leases expire. Americans can then expect high prices well into the next year because of the time it takes for drilling companies to gain access and start bringing up new oil.

Frank Macchiarola is the Senior Vice President of the American Petroleum Institute. He stated that Biden’s decision to cancel the Alaska contract was “another example of the administration’s lack of commitment to oil and gas development in the U.S. The President has spoken about the need for additional supplies in the market, but his administration has failed to take action to match that rhetoric.”

Ever since Biden took office, he tells people what they want to hear and fails to act on his statements. People are urging the president to extend the contracts and approve new ones for another five years.

The oil and gas industry is waiting for any sign that Biden will approve the new leases. The current signal is that he is dragging his feet and refuses to act because he does not have a plan to move forward. He claims to have a plan but refuses to reveal what that plan is all about.

The entire industry will grind to a stop soon if Biden fails to approve new drilling leases. The president is supposed to be a person who looks out for America’s interests. But Biden seems determined to look out for the interests of everyone else in the world. His determination to change the face of energy production and consumption will doom America for years to come.

The Democratic Party is playing a game with the future of America. Their goal to date has been to turn America into another failed socialist country where another evil dictator rules. Joe Biden needs high prices because it puts people on a dependent track to the federal government.

(FreedomWire.org) – Some GOP leaders introduced a resolution to get the Biden administration to focus on the real crises facing Americans.

The resolution, introduced in the Senate on Monday, is aimed at “urging” the development of a strategy to counter the rise in violent crime across the United States” and “points out that the murder rate in America rose by 30 percent from 2019-2020, the largest single-year increase in more than a century” while highlighting “a 59 percent increase in the number of police officers murdered last year” and noting at “at least 16 American cities set record for the number of murders in 2021.”

The resolution also points out that President Biden and his party continue to ignore the border crisis that rages unaddressed and mostly unacknowledged. “More than 2.5 million illegal immigrants have been caught trying to cross the U.S. southern border since January 2021, and overdose deaths have reached an all-time high as the flow of illegal drugs across the southern border is putting communities at risk across America,” the resolution also notes.

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) was on Fox News Tuesday morning being interview about the resolution and said,  “you can lead a man to the presidency, but you can’t make him think.”

“What our resolution is intended to do is to try to get the Biden administration to focus on those issues that moms and dads are worried about when they lie down to sleep at night and can’t,” Senator Kennedy said. “Things like crime, things like the border, inflation, the baby food shortage,” Kennedy continued.

“I think most Americans understand that in its first 14 months, the Biden administration has not exactly rocked it,” Senator Kennedy further explained on Fox News on Tuesday. “The president, I think, has delegated an enormous amount of his responsibilities to his appointees,” Kennedy noted.

Biden appointees, Kennedy explained, are “an interesting mixture of two groups,” described by the Louisiana Senator as “a bunch of uber-Washington insider elite types who mentally- haven’t been out of Washington mentally- for more than ten minutes in their lives,” he said. “They think Washington is America, and America is Washington,” Kennedy added of the insider elites running the Biden administration.

“The second group that he has running the show, and there is some overlap,” Kennedy noted, “I would describe as the crunchy granola types who like to attend gender reveal parties. I mean they’re very, very woke and they’re just not focused on the issues that are worrying ordinary Americans right now,” he said.

These groups that Biden has delegated his authority to, Kennedy explained, “believe in government by experts, and they think they’re the experts, and they’re smarter than ordinary Americans, and they’re more virtuous — and that everybody ought to shut up and listen to them — and if we’re nice, they’ll let us eat meat occasionally.”

(FreedomWire.org) – The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos tweeted a clear critique to the President for confusing two distinct issues.
“Raising corp taxes is fine to discuss. Taming inflation is critical to discuss,” Bezos wrote. “Mushing them together is just misdirection.”
On Friday, Biden posted: “You want to bring down inflation? Let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.”

Biden’s message suggesting that taxes on corporations such as Amazon can help bring down inflation seemed to get under Bezos’ skin. It’s unusual to see the Amazon chairman publicly take aim at the administration.

Biden last year specifically called out Amazon during a speech outlining his infrastructure spending plan. He cited a 2019 analysis highlighting 91 Fortune 500 companies that didn’t pay federal income tax in 2018 — “including Amazon,” Biden noted, while not mentioning any other companies.

Amazon last year reported $2.3 billion in federal income tax expense, as part of its total tax contribution.

Elected officials, progressive activists, and academics haven taken aim at Amazon in the past for reportedly paying nothing in federal income taxes. Researchers and journalists came to that conclusion by calculating the tax deferrals and credits Amazon is eligible for. Federal tax laws also allow the company to delay payment of the bill.

Sen. Bernie Sanders, is frequent critic of Amazon, so it was no surprise that Sanders had a response to Bezos’ tweet to Biden.

Bezos Tweet has shocked other twitter users.

(FreedomWire.org) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got testy with her media “friends” when pressed during her weekly briefing Thursday about ongoing inflation and spiked gas prices.

Fox News reporter Chad Pergram asked Pelosi about this lunacy, asking if she really believes voters won’t blame all of this on Democrats in the fall.

Pergram asked “do you think the public is blaming Democrats or will continue to blame Democrats…”

Pelosi responded “I don’t think the public is blaming Democrats. I think they’re blaming the oil companies…”

Pergram pressed: “But they won’t take that out on your side during the midterms even if you pass this bill and prices don’t get back to…”

Pelosi continued: “Why would we say that? I don’t think what you say is making very much sense… If the Republicans stand in the way of us freeing the consumer of the stranglehold of Big Oil, you think they’re going to blame that on the Democrats?”

Pelosi then points her finger at Pergram and says “You believe that. You believe that.”

The speaker’s remarks demonstrated a stunning disconnect from reality, as multiple polls have shown that the public primarily blames President Joe Biden, and the Democrats for inflation.

“When asked about who they blame for an increase in gas prices, a plurality (39%) blame the Biden Administration, 21% blame the sanctions on Russia, and 18% blame gas and oil companies,” according to an Emerson College survey published in March.

“The latest … national telephone and online survey finds that 64% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the policies of Biden’s administration have increased inflation, while only eight percent (8%) think Biden’s policies have reduced inflation. Another 25% say the Biden administration’s policies have not made much difference in inflation,” according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released around the same time.

A more recent poll conducted this month by Public Opinion Strategies on behalf of Americans for Prosperity found that 61 percent of Americans blame the president for inflation.

The speaker’s remarks also appeared to demonstrate a lack of a coherent message, because during the same briefing Thursday, she blamed inflation on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We call it the Putin price hike,” she said.

She’s been touting the same message on social media.

In the briefing, Pelosi accused the oil and gas companies of price gouging for profit and not increasing production to keep the prices high, while not mentioning anything about Biden and how his administration has throttled the oil and gas industry with their green new deal agenda.
