(FreedomWire.org) – Elon Musk announced Wednesday he that voted for a Mexican-American immigrant for Congress and was accused of upholding “white supremacy” by a black Democrat.
Musk, who was born and raised in South Africa, announced Wednesday that for the “first time” ever voting Republican, he voted for Mayra Flores.
“Massive red wave in 2022,” Musk added.
His tweet to anger Democratic New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman, who accused Musk of upholding white supremacy.
“Elon Musk is not a leader,” Bowman tweeted. “He’s just another Republican billionaire who supports white supremacy and authoritarianism because he doesn’t want his workers to unionize or to pay his fair share in taxes. The GOP just tried to end democracy and now he’s supporting them.”
Musk, who has described himself as a long-time Democrat, announced in May he would vote Republican in the upcoming midterms.
“In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party,” Musk tweeted recently. “But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold.”
(FreedomWire.org) – Elon Musk took on Joe Biden after the president responded mockingly to observations the billionaire made about the struggling economy.
Biden make his remarks on Thursday during a press conference after Musk announced that he would have to lay off a significant number of Tesla employees because the economy is slowing.
In a message was sent to Tesla staff titled “pause all hiring worldwide,” Reuters reported, adding that in the email, Musk said he had a “super bad feeling” about the economy in general before writing that he was eyeing a 10-percent cut in the electric vehicle maker’s workforce.
Biden was asked to comment about Musk’s observations during his presser.
“While Elon Musk is talking about that, Ford is increasing their investment, overwhelmingly. I think Ford is increasing the investment in building new electric vehicles. Six thousand employees — union employees, I might add, in the Midwest. The former Chrysler Corporation, they also are making similar investments in electric vehicles. Intel is adding 20,000 new jobs making computer chips,” Biden said before quipping: So, you know, lots of luck on his trip to the moon.”
But it appears as though Musk is going to get the last laugh: On Friday, NASA announced it would be using SpaceX rockets for its next manned missions to return to the moon.
“Thanks Mr. President!” Musk noted in a tweet containing a press release from the U.S. space agency announcing the decision.
(FreedomWire.org) – Elon Musk denounced Twitter for it banning former President Donald J. Trump from its social media platform.
While attending FT Live’s Future of the Car conference, Musk was interviewed by the Financial Times on various issues, including his purchase of Twitter.
When asked about Twitter’s ban of Trump, Musk stated:
“Permanent bans should be extremely rare and really reserved for accounts that are bots, or scam, spam accounts…I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake because it alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”
I would reverse the permanent ban,” Musk added. “I don’t own Twitter yet. So this is not like a thing that will definitely happen, because what if I don’t own Twitter?”
According to CNBC, “Twitter permanently suspended Trump from the platform in January 2021 following the attack by his supporters on the U.S. Capitol. The company said it made the decision after the Jan. 6 riot ‘due to the risk of further incitement of violence.’ Trump at the time had more than 80 million followers on the platform.”
While many of his followers have said they would like to see Trump back on Twitter, Trump has said that, even if he could, he will not rejoin Twitter.
“I will be on Truth Social within the week,” Trump told CNBC last month. “It’s on schedule. We have a lot of people signed up. I like Elon Musk. I like him a lot. He’s an excellent individual. We did a lot for Twitter when I was in the White House. I was disappointed by the way I was treated by Twitter. I won’t be going back on Twitter.”
