(FreedomWire.org) – On Saturday, the Associated Press falsely claimed: “Joe Biden has said he’s never spoken to his son about his foreign business, and nothing the Republicans have put forth suggests otherwise.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, stated as early as 2020 that whistleblower Tony Bobulinski, one of Hunter’s business partners, twice met with Joe Biden to discuss a business deal in China with CEFC China Energy Co.

“I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” Bobulinski stated.

“An email found on Hunter’s laptop “outlined the proposed percentage distribution of equity in a company created for a joint venture with CEFC China Energy Co,” the New York Post reported about the CEFC energy deal. The proposed business venture, sent on March 13, 2017, included “10 held by H for the big guy?”

The CEFC deal was between Bobulinski, the Biden family, and high-ranking members of the Chinese Communist Party. Bobulinski confirmed “the big guy” was a reference to Joe Biden.

Secondly, Joe Biden left a voicemail on Hunter’s phone about a New York Times story that was reporting on the CEFC deal in which Joe Biden noted, “I think you’re clear,” a reference to the family’s business deal. The voicemail directly contradicted Joe Biden’s statement in 2019 that he and his son had not spoken about the family’s business schemes.

“Hey pal, it’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you,” Joe Biden said in the audio recording.

“I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good. I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance give me a call, I love you,” the message concluded.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), the third highest ranking House Republican, told the New York Post the voicemail “is just the tip of the iceberg” regarding the evidence against the “Biden Crime Family.”

“Joe Biden said he ‘never spoke’ with Hunter about his business dealings. That is simply not true. We need to know what Joe Biden knew and when he knew it,” Stefanik said.

“This voicemail is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the evidence mounting against the Biden Crime Family. When Republicans take back Congress, we will use our congressional power of oversight to uncover the truth for every American as a matter of national security,” she added.

Thirdly, in 2015, the day after Joe Biden dined with Hunter’s Ukrainian foreign business partners, one of them emailed Hunter his thanks for the “opportunity to meet your father.” The Post reported:

The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent some time together. It’s realty an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.

An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.

(FreedomWire.org) – At the G-20 summit in Bali, we’ve seen the first face-to-face meeting between the weakest American president since Jimmy Carter, and the toughest and most powerful Chinese leader since Mao. Of course, it was a debacle.

Perhaps the most ludicrous result of the Bali meeting was the White House’s claim that Biden and Xi agreed to work together on “health and food security,” when Biden was too timid to bring up the origins of Covid or the need to get to the bottom of what happened in those Wuhan labs — for China’s sake as well as ours. Nor did he bring up fentanyl, the major killer of young Americans.

To Biden’s credit, Taiwan did come up, but the president seems to misunderstand what the goal with regard to the island democracy needs to be. It isn’t to prevent a war over Taiwan. It’s to prevent a Chinese takeover of Taiwan.

Biden and Xi Jinping’s three-hour meeting will be meaningless if the U.S. doesn’t respond to Chinese misconduct, said Gordon Chang.

“This meeting may have established some order in the Taiwan Strait, but the issue is whether Xi Jinping believes Biden,” he added. “Xi has seen Biden’s failure to impose costs on China for openly supporting the Russian military in Ukraine and may believe he can similarly ignore Biden’s warnings on Taiwan.”

Beijing views Taiwan as an inalienable part of China. The self-ruled island’s democratically-elected government rejects Beijing’s claims of sovereignty over it, while China has accused the U.S. in recent years of encouraging Taiwan independence.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., is blasting Biden’s meeting with Xi Jinping, saying the president should have held the Chinese Communist Party “accountable” for human rights abuses, its refusal to probe the COVID-19 origins, and the theft of American intellectual property.

“This meeting should have held the CCP accountable for its rampant human rights abuses, ongoing theft of American intellectual property, and its refusal to investigate the origins of COVID-19.”

Rubio added, “Instead, President Biden demonstrated that he is willing to sacrifice everything — including our national security and the security of our allies — for the sake of pursuing ill-fated climate talks with our nation’s greatest adversary.”

Biden has signaled before that the United States will act in Taiwan’s defense in case of a Chinese invasion. But, with no GOP majority in the Senate and only a thin majority in the House to restrain Biden, Xi has to know he has two more years to consolidate his power and move forward with his plans — up to and including Taiwan.

(FreedomWire.org) – Xi Jinping was recently installed for a third term as China’s leader and the head of the Chinese Communist Party. Since then, he’s been offering a number of speeches and state media interviews. During one such discussion this week, he proclaimed on CCTV that his country is going to be “focusing on preparing for war.” This will take the form of increased military training drills along with hastened developments in technology and defense assets. The only reason he cited for this position was an “increasingly unstable and uncertain” national security position. But most analysts are already assuming that China may be ramping up for an invasion of Taiwan.

China will focus on preparing for war with the country’s security ‘increasingly unstable and uncertain’, President Xi Jinping has declared.

Beijing will now comprehensively strengthen its military training and preparation for any war, Xi said today, according to state broadcaster CCTV.

His warning comes after Xi last month called for faster military development, ‘self-reliance and strength’ in technology and defence of China’s interests abroad, raising the likelihood of further conflict.

Xi’s announcement that China will focus on preparing for a war will raise fears that the nation may invade the self-governing island of Taiwan, which Beijing claims as its own.

This is obviously a disturbing development on a number of levels. China has already been beefing up it’s military for more than a decade, particularly with the addition of aircraft carriers to its naval fleet and new planes specifically designed for use on carriers. They’ve been testing hypersonic missile technology and increasing their recruiting efforts for military service. But Xi Jinping has traditionally avoided specific references to initiating any sort of military conflict.

As one Asian policy expert quoted in the linked report points out, this isn’t the sort of thing that the west can afford to simply ignore or blow off as bombastic rhetoric. We probably need to take the Chinese leader at his word. Whether these remarks were intended to be a thinly veiled reference to an invasion across the Taiwan Strait or a conflict with other western allies, having China on a war footing is something we will regret taking lightly if we simply ignore this.

The same analyst I mentioned above suggests that it’s vital for western nations to begin the process of “decoupling China from many of our most relied upon supply chain networks.” He also suggests removing China’s vested interests and influence in critical industries, particularly those in the energy and transportation sectors. Hopefully, this sounds obvious to most western leaders and it’s something we should have started doing long before this. We learned during the pandemic shutdowns how much damage China can do by disrupting the global supply chain, even if it’s done inadvertently. If they find themselves at war with the United States or anyone else, they could just as readily shut down those supply chains intentionally.

The Chinese seem to clearly have been watching as recent events unfolded in Ukraine. Xi Jinping may have already concluded that he is free to “reunify” Taiwan with the mainland militarily because the United States will not step in with our own military to stop them.

In any event, we need some clarification from the White House as to what our actual policy regarding China and Taiwan is today. Joe Biden has repeatedly muddied the waters in that regard with contradictory statements that his staff had to quickly rush out and “clarify.” China has clearly been listening and there is a very real chance that they may act on those impulses.

(FreedomWire.org) – Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) called on the U.S. to stand up to the “generational threat” posed by China while unveiling a major report on Beijing’s “malign behavior” at the same time her husband’s law firm was working on behalf of companies linked to China’s military, intelligence, and security services.

As Cheney stood at the podium, her husband Philip Perry’s law firm was cashing in on legal and lobbying work that his employer — Latham & Watkins (LW), one of the largest law firms in the world — was doing for a host of Chinese companies, some of which were involved in the kind of activity that Cheney was warning had to be stopped.

It’s now being reported that Liz Cheney’s husband’s firm also represents Hunter Biden.

Philip Perry has worked at Latham & Watkins since 2007, and focuses on white collar cases, commercial and Supreme Court litigation, according to his company biography.

Another Latham partner, Chris Clark, has been representing Hunter Biden since December 2020 — but Cheney’s husband’s involvement at the firm had not been previously known.

Latham is a Democratic powerhouse, with company attorneys and other employees donating more than half a million dollars to President Biden’s 2020 campaign, Federal Election Commission records show. Clark himself ponied up $3,800.

Clark’s work for the first son is prominently displayed on his company profile, which notes his representation of Hunter in a “grand jury investigation regarding tax issues.”

The firm’s close ties to the Democratic party have come under scrutiny in the past.

So… Liz Cheney’s husband’s law firm is connected to companies connected to China’s military, Hunter Biden, and the Democrat Party.   But Liz Cheney is a conservative for conservative causes?  Something doesn’t add up.

(FreedomWire.org) – Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi might visit Taiwan during her trip to Asia. She was initially going in April, but canceled after testing positive for COVID.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is still going to Asia, knowing the trip has the potential of upsetting the Chinese Communist Party.

Pelosi is scheduled to visit several allied Asian countries during her multi-day tour of the continent.

One possible destination with major ramifications is Taiwan — officially known as the Republic of China. The island has been expecting a visit from Pelosi, but recent threats from the People’s Republic of China have drawn global attention to the potential visit.

President Donald Trump reacted to the trip by blasting Pelosi saying she will only make the situation “worse.”

Trump went on Truth Social to say, “Why is Nancy Pelosi getting involved with China and Taiwan other than to make trouble and more money, possibly involving insider trading and information, for her cheatin’ husband? Everything she touches turns to Chaos, Disruption, and “Crap” (her second big Congress “flop” happening now!), and the China mess is the last thing she should be involved in – She will only make it worse. Crazy Nancy just inserts herself and causes great friction and hatred. She is such a mess!!!”

A propagandist for the Chinese Communist Party threatened Pelosi over the trip.

“If U.S. fighter jets escort Pelosi’s plane into Taiwan, it is invasion,” Hu Xijin, an analyst for the Chinese state-controlled Global Times propaganda outlet tweeted, according to the Free Beacon. “The PLA has the right to forcibly dispel Pelosi’s plane and the U.S. fighter jets, including firing warning shots and making tactical movement of obstruction. If ineffective, then shoot them down.”

(FreedomWire.org) – Joe Biden has been rapidly depleting the Strategic Petroleum Reserve of oil in order to lower gas prices in the United States or so he says, but 6 million barrels of oil have been sold to Unipec, the trading division of the Chinese state-owned Sinopec. In 2015, BHR, an investment firm partially owned by Hunter Biden bought up a $1.7 billion dollar share of Sinopec, a communist Chinese-controlled company.

The DOE sold four million barrels to Unipec in the fall of 2021, almost six months before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. That oil sold for $63 dollars a barrel or about eight dollars a barrel less than oil was selling on the open market. If only Joe would be that nice to Americans, but alas, no American oil company has put Hunter on its Board of Directors. What would be happening right now if it were Don Jr. rather than Hunter. The NYT and WaPo would be demanding that President Trump be impeached.

Ben Lieberman, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute said, “I think it takes a bad policy and makes it worse. The idea of tapping into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve rather than maxing out on American drilling was foolish from the start, it’s like taking out a loan instead of going out and earning more money.”

“The Strategic Petroleum Reserve never really was a substitute for that and now to hear that this oil is going to China is problematic because it undercuts their rationale even more,” said Lieberman. “Biden’s policy just shows that he’s not putting American consumers and the American economy first or second or even third.”

(FreedomWire.org) – New found evidence from a 2018 voicemail from President Biden to Hunter Biden about his business dealings in China raises questions about the federal probe of the first son, legal experts said Tuesday — as Republican lawmakers vowed congressional hearings into the matter.

On December 12, 2018, the elder Biden called Hunter after reading a NEW YORK TIMES article about Hunter’s multi-million-dollar dealings with CCP oil giant CEFC. The NYT story had reported that CEFC Chairman Ye Jianming had been arrested in China and his top officer Patrick Ho had been convicted in the United States over bribing African officials to help Iran evade oil sanctions. The NYT had also reported that when Ho had been arrested, he’d called Joe’s brother Jim, who told the NYT he thought the call had been meant for Hunter.

After seeing the story online in the TIMES, Joe called Hunter and left this message: “Hey, pal. It’s Dad. It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you. I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the TIMES, was good. I think you’re clear. And, anyway, if you get a chance, give me a call. I love you.”

Former Justice Department prosecutor Jim Trusty called the situation “a huge integrity test” for the FBI and for Attorney General Merrick Garland.

“Will they walk away from powerful evidence? Will they come up with a soft plea — like a tax charge — that does not remotely capture the actual wrongdoing?” he said.

“Or will they treat Hunter Biden like any other white-collar defendant in the federal system?”

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said the recording “only magnifies the concerns over the failure of Attorney General Merrick Garland to appoint a special counsel with broad investigative authority.”

“The record is now replete with references to President Biden and contradictions of his public denials,” he said.

“The concern is that a plea bargain could effectively foreclose further inquiry or prosecution for possible crimes related to influence peddling.”

Rep. Jody Hice (R-Georgia) tweeted “SMOKING GUN!” after the Daily Mail posted the voicemail message online Monday, saying it came from a backup of an iPhone XS stored on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop.

When “#HunterBiden” began trending ahead of Tuesday’s hearing of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, Hice added, “Even Big Tech can’t ignore Hunter problem anymore.”

“It’s time for a hearing,” he said.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) said the voicemail “confirms what most Americans already knew: President Biden has been complicit in Hunter Biden’s shady business dealings.”

“President Biden has repeatedly denied speaking to Hunter about his business dealings, but the evidence now is insurmountable,” he said.

“When Republicans take over the House in January, we will thoroughly investigate Hunter Biden’s business dealings and President Biden’s participation in his son’s activities.”

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) said, “Every piece of information that has come to light so far suggests President Biden knew exactly what Hunter was up to abroad, but many questions still remain.”

“I look forward to a future Republican House majority focused on exposing the truth and pressing for accountability,” she added.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) said, “Throughout my review of our forensic copy of the Hunter Biden laptop, one conclusion is inescapable: Joe Biden has not told anything resembling the full truth and he needs to come clean.”

“His refusal to do so is only making it worse, and the Congress should absolutely conduct a robust and responsible investigation,” he said.

(FreedomWire.org) – There has been an unprecedented leak of a recording of a top-secret meeting of China’s People’s Liberation Army leadership. During the meeting, senior military and  the Communist Party of China  officials are heard discussing detailed plans to “smash” the military forces of Taiwan. There are also detailed discussions of logistical support for the invasion involving various companies that will provide needed supplies. Maintaining the security of key regions of mainland China from any sort of counterattacks is also discussed. The leaked audio raises several questions, including who would have carried out the leak and whether this is an actual plan or simply a preparatory exercise.

The first question to address is whether this meeting was a discussion of active plans for an invasion with a targeted date to attack or not. An attack on Taiwan from China is always possible, but they could also just be going over and refining their strategy in a preparatory exercise meant to intimidate.

The second question is who would have risked their lives to leak out the audio of this meeting. The Chinese are notoriously good at keeping their inside information secret and the penalties for any perceived disloyalty are harsh beyond belief. If this leak is real, there may be some dissent among the ranks going on, with someone being opposed to an invasion of Taiwan.

According to analysis from Jennifer Zeng, host of Inconvenient Truths, she said, “that audio they mentioned quite a few names of factories, trains, companies.” Zeng said she checked all the names that they mentioned in the audio and matched them with the public record and they all match. “A factory they mentioned really produced drones and that sort of machinery. They knew what they were talking about.”

A former senior Trump administration official said the audio was “meant to intimidate.”

Steve Yates, chair of the China Policy Initiative, told TheDCNF that it was “extremely unlikely” the video was an unauthorized leak, noting that Chinese authorities would “follow up” with the leaker.

“So we have to assume this content was meant to influence as much as inform,” Yates said. “The CCP is now saying the quiet part out loud. The challenge for the U.S. and allies is that there is no way to discern between exercises meant to influence versus actual mobilization to attack.”

The alleged leaked audio follows President Joe Biden’s recent visit to Asia and comes only weeks after China conducted a “rehearsal” for a Taiwan invasion between May 6-8.

Zeng said China is clearly in the process of decoupling from the West, citing the Chinese government forcing companies like Didi Chuxing to delist from the New York Stock Exchange. She also pointed to Xi Jinping’s stated goal of achieving “internal circulation of the economy” and China’s efforts to buy up crops from overseas as well as the recent “insane lockdown order” in Shanghai as evidence of China’s intention to decouple.

(FreedomWire.org) – In a joint military exercise Russia and China flew nuclear-capable bombers through the Sea of Japan, continuing through the East China Sea and the Philippine Sea on Tuesday, during President Biden’s trip to eastern Asia.

The joint patrol lasted 13 hours and involved Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers and Chinese Xian H-6 jets.

Planes from the Japanese and South Korean air forces shadowed the Russian and Chinese jets for part of the exercise.

Tokyo conveyed “grave concerns” to both Russia and China through diplomatic channels, Kishi said at a news conference.  He characterized the incident as a likely provocation by both Beijing and Moscow on a day when Biden, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australia’s newly elected leader, Anthony Albanese, were meeting in Tokyo.

The drills, are the most significant cooperation between the two countries since Russia invaded Ukraine three months ago. Bomber exercises such as this cannot be planned quickly, and was likely planned well in advance by both countries . Chinese naval vessels also likely participated.

This is a sign that China has decided that they’ll continue to closely align themselves with Russia as it brutalizes Ukraine. While many other countries are trying to isolate Russia, it is also a sign that Russia will stand with China in the East & South China Seas.

(FreedomWire.org) – Speaking in Tokyo on Monday, Biden was asked about the US commitment to Taiwan. Biden said, “yes,” the US would intervene militarily to defend Taiwan if it came under attack from China. He said the US’s responsibility to protect the self-ruled island, was “even stronger” after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The US president went on to say, any attempt by China to use force against Taiwan would “just not be appropriate … it would dislocate the entire region and be another action similar to what happened in Ukraine”.

“America is committed to a one-China policy but that does not mean China has the jurisdiction to use force to take Taiwan,” Biden said, adding: “My expectation is that will not happen.”

A White House official walked back Biden’s remarks almost immediately.

“As the president said, our policy has not changed,” the spokesperson said. “He reiterated our One China Policy and our commitment to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. He also reiterated our commitment under the Taiwan Relations Act to provide Taiwan with the military means to defend itself.”

There is a contradiction of what Biden said and the spokesperson. While Biden asserted he would intervene militarily, i.e. with the US military, his administration apparently wants to make it clear that we are only committing to providing military aid to Taiwan so it can “defend itself.” That’s significant in that it signals to China that the only thing we’d do is what we’ve been doing in Ukraine.
