As we all expected, President Trump was found innocent of the bogus charge of “incitement of insurrection” Democrats slapped him with. The Left hates Donald Trump at levels that approach derangement, and their obsession has led to them trying to impeach him not once — but twice, the latter time after he was already out of office and was a private citizen. While the trial revealed a divide in the GOP between those who love our Constitution and those who don’t, overall, the Senate agrees that Donald Trump is innocent.
Seven Republicans joined Democrats in their attempt to railroad the President. But their efforts were not enough. Thankfully, most of the Republican Party — even those like Mitch McConnell who hate Donald Trump — believe in the Constitution. President Trump was found innocent thanks to a coalition of Republicans who genuinely believe in his innocence and those who feel that attempting to remove a private citizen from an office he no longer holds is unconstitutional. The President has released a statement regarding his acquittal, and it has Democrats enraged.
“I want to first thank my team of dedicated lawyers and others for their tireless work upholding justice and defending truth,” the statement says. “My deepest thanks as well to all of the United States Senators and Members of Congress who stood proudly for the Constitution we all revere and for the sacred legal principles at the heart of our country.” President Trump lays into Democrats, who are in the process of abusing power in exactly the way they accuse Republicans of doing:
“It is a sad commentary on our times that one political party in America is given a free pass to denigrate the rule of law, defame law enforcement, cheer mobs, excuse rioters, and transform justice into a tool of political vengeance, and persecute, blacklist, cancel and suppress all people and viewpoints with whom or which they disagree. I always have, and always will, be a champion for the unwavering rule of law, the heroes of law enforcement, and the right of Americans to peacefully and honorably debate the issues of the day without malice and without hate.”
“This has been another phase of the greatest witch hunt in the history of our Country,” Trump says, noting that no other President in American history has been treated this way.
President Trump also hints at exciting news, perhaps related to a political party he has hinted at forming. “I have much to share with you in the months ahead,” he says. The President has vowed not to give up on America. It’s up to us to stand with him against those who oppose freedom.
