Joe Biden talks endlessly about unifying America. In fact, it was a campaign promise. But so far, we have seen Leftists at even the highest levels of government repeatedly paint us as terrorists and cause chaos. Now, Biden officials are even threatening reporters for doing their jobs.
Biden White House deputy press secretary T.J. Ducklo is in hot water after he decided to unify the country be attacking and threatening a female reporter. After a Politico reporter asked Ducklo about his romantic relationship with Axios reporter Alexi McCammond, the Biden administration employee laid into Tara Palmeri.
Vanity Fair reports that in an off-record call on January 20, Ducklo threatened Palmeri. “I will destroy you,” Ducklo said, threatening to ruin Palmeri if she published anything about the relationship. This was strange, as it was a male reporter who originally contacted Ducklo about the story. For some reason, he chose instead to attempt to intimidate Palmeri. The Biden official also told the reporter that Politico only wanted to report on the relationship because Palmeri is “jealous” that an unidentified man “wanted to f*ck” McAmmond “and not you.” He further accused her of being “jealous” of the relationship.
“I am not joking when I say this: If you are ever working with me and I hear you treat another colleague with disrespect, talk down to someone, I promise you I will fire you on the spot. No ifs, ands, or buts,” Biden said during a swearing-in of appointees on his first day in office. But Ducklo was not fired on the spot.
“TJ Ducklo has apologized to the reporter, with whom he had a heated conversation about his personal life,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said via Twitter. “He is the first to acknowledge this is not the standard of behavior set out by the President.”
“In addition to his initial apology, he has sent the reporter a personal note expressing his profound regret,” she continues, adding that Ducklo has been suspended for one week. Once he comes back — still not fired on the spot — he won’t work with Politico reporters. In other words, the publication will receive less access because one of their reporters spoke out after Ducklo attacked her. The Biden administration is punishing the press in the same manner liberals say Trump did.
If Biden will not play by his own rules, how can we expect him to play by any rules?
